The "Caloria" Students' Scientific Association, started by their first supervisors, Tadeusz Filar and Roman Woźniacki and continued with success by their successors, the scholars and students from the Department of Heat Engineering and Environmental Protection, has completed forty years of its operations. During the four decades, our students undertook scientific initiatives, developed their scientific interests and self-fulfilled themselves under the slogan of "Isn't it nice to do what you are not obliged to do?" Often, our members are proud not only of their graduation, but also of their remarkable scientific achievements, experience in research and organisation, which will be very important aspects of their future professional lives. The "Caloria" is also a place of attitude development, best understanding of cultural processes, making friends and general integration of our circles. We would like to make our conference a venue of ideas, achievements and experience exchange, making new friends and extending cooperation within our University and other schools in the environment of the rich cultural heritage of the Royal City of Cracow.
