How We Work?
The "Caloria" Students' Scientific Association has been extremely successful in various domains.
In addition to very important organisational and colourful integrating activities, the Association has been an active participant and promoter of many scientific events.
The sessions of the Students' Scientific Associations of the Metallurgical Division of the University of Mining and Metallurgy (AGH) often became grounds of fair competition between our members and those representing similar organisations from AGH and other colleges to win the prestigious Session Laureate title. It is important to underline that many members of our Association became award winners, giving credit to both the
"Caloria" and AGH.
The "Caloria" also took part in similar sessions organised by other colleges and universities, e.g. the Polytechnics of Warsaw, Silesia or Częstochowa. Since 1995, we have been regular participants of the Students' Scientific Movement Seminars which are examples of a harmonious combination of scientific, social and cultural activities.
Besides taking part in scientific sessions and seminars, which are the arenas of the exchange of students' achievements, the active members of the "Caloria" represent the Faculty of Metallurgy and the whole AGH at the conferences in Poland and abroad where they compete not only with fellow students, but also with senior scholars.
Our intention has always been to combine business with pleasure, which is particularly displayed at scientific camps - places of the exchange of views and frequent emotional discussions on papers, but also of fun and relax. Isn't it nice to do what you're not obliged to do?
The Association works actively for the sake of the Department, the Faculty and the whole AGH, cooperating in their promotion, arranging integration meetings, or research and teaching initiatives which result for example in establishing new laboratories.
